- Austria and Italy, €125–190. Pila and Tauplitz are the best value; Alta Badia is the priciest of the group.
- Switzerland doubles or triples it: Verbier, St. Moritz and Gstaad all go above €240 for the entry range.

How much you save by hiring for the week
Almost every shop lowers the daily price for consecutive days. In Gstaad a single day costs €81, but a 6-day hire works out at €46 a day (43% less); in Pila 40% less; in Alta Badia 35%. Baqueira is the exception: the daily price is the same for one day or six.
How to pay less
1. Book consecutive days, not day by day. 2. If there are 5 or more of you, Caranva takes 5% off ski hire (10% from 10 people), no code needed. 3. Choose the range for your level, not the price: if you mostly ski blues, the entry or mid range is plenty.
Prices are those published by each shop on its Caranva page on 6 November 2026; you see the exact total for your dates when you pick them.
