Sagrada Familia tickets: official prices, towers and guided tours

A standard Sagrada Familia ticket costs €26 on the official website (sagradafamilia.org), and that includes the audio guide in the official app. With a guided tour it's €30, with a tower climb €36, and with both €40. Under-11s go free, and there are reduced prices for under-30s, students and seniors.

Tickets are sold online, on the website or in the official app, roughly two months ahead. They carry your name, a date and a time, and if you turn up late you won't be let in. The official site says an advance ticket gets you straight in without waiting, so you don't need to pay extra just to skip the queue: the official ticket does that too.

On your own, the official ticket costs the least. The tours further down cost more because they add a guide; they're worth it if your time slot has sold out or you'd like the basilica explained as you go.

They cost more than the official ticket because a guide is included; availability and prices are set by each operator.

These are the individual prices published on the official website as of October 2026, per person. Every ticket includes the audio guide, which you download in the official app, and you'll need to show proof of any reduction at the entrance.

If requested by email 48 hours ahead, unemployed visitors get into the basilica at no charge on Wednesdays from 9am to 12 noon (with a valid Catalan DARDE document).

What each ticket includes

The standard ticket gets you into the basilica and the museum for as long as you like; it doesn't include the towers or the crypt. The audio guide comes in 19 languages plus sign language, in a 45-minute and a 25-minute express version. Bring headphones and a charged phone.

The official guided tour lasts about 50 minutes, in several languages depending on the season and time of day, and doesn't cover the museum, which you can see on your own afterwards. Parties of 10 or more count as a group: they book by email and must come with an official guide licensed by the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Climbing the towers: Nativity or Passion

With a tower ticket you choose between the Nativity façade tower, looking east across the city, and the Passion façade tower, facing the city centre. You go up by lift and come down on foot.

Check the conditions before you pay. Children under 6 can't go up and under-16s must be with an adult. Rucksacks and bags go into lockers, which are only available to tower visitors. The route isn't suitable for people with reduced mobility. If a tower is closed on the day, the official site states that the ticket price isn't refunded.

Sagrada Familia opening times by season

These are the visiting hours published on the official website. Opening times can change in exceptional cases because of services or events inside, so check before you go.

Since 2 February 2026, 9am to 10am has been the daily 'hour of silence': visits carry on as normal, but headphones are compulsory for any audio and visitors are asked to keep quiet. If you prefer a calm visit, that's your slot.

  • November to February: Monday to Saturday 9am-6pm; Sunday 10.30am-6pm
  • March and October: Monday to Friday 9am-7pm; Saturday 9am-6pm; Sunday 10.30am-7pm
  • April to September: Monday to Friday 9am-8pm; Saturday 9am-6pm; Sunday 10.30am-8pm
  • 25 and 26 December, 1 and 6 January: 9am-2pm

How to book, and what happens if you're late

There's no ticket office. Tickets are sold online, on the official website or in the Sagrada Familia app, which you can also use to show them at the entrance (or print them out). There are QR codes around the basilica for buying on the spot, but they depend on capacity at that moment. In high season, book as soon as your dates are fixed.

Arrive after your time slot and you won't get in. Visitors' details can't be changed afterwards, and you'll be asked for a passport or ID card at the entrance. As a rule there are no changes or refunds; exceptions must be requested by email at least 48 hours beforehand.

If the basilica has to close unexpectedly, buying through the official channel makes life easier: on 4 October 2026 it stayed shut until 2pm because of an adverse weather forecast, and the Foundation refunded affected tickets automatically.

Rules: dress code, security and photos

This is a working Catholic church and the official site asks visitors to dress modestly. There are security arches and bag checks at the entrance; you're advised not to bring a rucksack, and there's no left-luggage for suitcases.

  • No see-through clothing or swimwear
  • Shorts and skirts must reach at least mid-thigh
  • Bare shoulders aren't allowed in the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament
  • No caps or hats in the nave or the museum, except for religious or health reasons
  • No eating inside, no drinks brought in from outside and no tripods
  • Only assistance dogs are allowed

The Tower of Jesus Christ and the building work in 2026

The Sagrada Familia is still being built more than 140 years after its first stone was laid in 1882. The Nativity façade and the crypt have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005.

On 10 June 2026, the centenary of Gaudí's death, Pope Leo XIV blessed the Tower of Jesus Christ. At 172.5 metres it is, according to the Foundation, what makes the Sagrada Familia the tallest church in the world. Work now continues on the towers of the Glory façade, so expect cranes. This tower can't be climbed: tower tickets give you the Nativity or the Passion tower.

Getting to the Sagrada Familia

The basilica is in the Eixample district. The general entrance is on the Nativity façade, on Carrer de la Marina. Visitors with disabilities or reduced mobility use entrance B on the same street, where wheelchairs can be borrowed subject to availability.

  • Metro: lines L2 and L5, Sagrada Família station, right by the basilica
  • Bus: routes 19, 33, 34, D50, H10 and B24
  • Accessibility: every area is accessible except the towers

Can you buy tickets at the door?

It depends on the view you want: the Nativity tower looks east across the city, the Passion tower towards the centre. Both go up by lift and down on foot, and they cost the same.

Can children visit?
