Keystone's 2026/27 season runs roughly from October 31, 2026 to April 12, 2027 — about 163 days of skiing. The resort has not announced any dates yet — its own site (Vail Resorts) lists them as to be determined — so October 31, 2026 is its usual window as calculated by us. The April 12, 2027 closing is our own calculation: it is usually announced only weeks ahead. The up-to-date version, with its source, is on the opening-dates page.
Expected opening: October 31, 2026. Expected closing: April 12, 2027. Opening depends on enough snow at the 2829 m base, so it can move a week or two either way; with a 3782 m top station, the upper mountain usually holds out longer than the base at the end of the season. Closing tends to be pushed to Easter when it falls late.
Like most alpine resorts, Keystone's lifts typically run roughly from 9:00 to 16:30–17:00, with the occasional night session on special dates. The exact daily schedule is published on the resort's official site.
The two weeks around opening day, plus Christmas and Easter holidays, are when sizes and the better models sell out first in Keystone. Booking with the opening date already on the calendar — October 31, 2026 this season — is the simple way to avoid being left with what's spare.
