Metabief's 2026/27 season runs roughly from December 20, 2026 to March 15, 2027 — about 85 days of skiing. The December 20, 2026 opening is our own estimate from the resort's calendar in previous seasons: the resort has announced nothing. The March 15, 2027 closing is our own calculation: it is usually announced only weeks ahead. The up-to-date version, with its source, is on the opening-dates page.
Expected opening: December 20, 2026. Expected closing: March 15, 2027. Opening depends on enough snow at the 900 m base, so it can move a week or two either way; with a 1450 m top station, the upper mountain usually holds out longer than the base at the end of the season. Closing tends to be pushed to Easter when it falls late.
Like most alpine resorts, Metabief's lifts typically run roughly from 9:00 to 16:30–17:00, with the occasional night session on special dates. The exact daily schedule is published on the resort's official site.
The two weeks around opening day, plus Christmas and Easter holidays, are when sizes and the better models sell out first in Metabief. Booking with the opening date already on the calendar — December 20, 2026 this season — is the simple way to avoid being left with what's spare.
