When Breckenridge opens in 2026/27

November 6, 2026 — published by Vail Resorts, in its August 18 opening-date release.

No closing date has been published for 2026/27. North American resorts normally announce the opening day in late summer and leave the closing day to the snowpack, so treat any April or May date you read elsewhere as last season's.

How the terrain splits by ability

Breckenridge grades its terrain as Beginner 11%, Intermediate 31%, Advanced 24%, Expert 34%. Those are the resort's own categories: North America grades by difficulty relative to the mountain, so an "advanced" run here is not the same thing as a red run in the Alps.
