No closing date has been published for 2026/27, though the resort describes its typical season as November to June. North American resorts normally announce the opening day in late summer and leave the closing day to the snowpack.

Mammoth Mountain grades its terrain as Easiest 13%, Slightly Difficult 28%, Difficult 20%, Very Difficult 24%, Extremely Difficult 15%. Those are the resort's own categories: North America grades by difficulty relative to the mountain, so an "advanced" run here is not the same thing as a red run in the Alps.
