Right now in Astún: 2 °C at mid-mountain. Snow forecast at the summit this week: 4.6 cm. 7-day forecast for Astún.
Astún is a resort in Aragonese Pyrenees (Spain) skied between 1700 and 2300 metres, with 55 km of pistes and 14 lifts.
The resort’s three cameras are live video: the base, at around 1,700 m, shows whether there is snow down low and how busy it is first thing; Truchas and Ibones show the middle and upper slopes. Compare the base with Ibones: if it is white up top and not below, the snow has only settled at altitude.
The fourth is the Spanish traffic authority (DGT) camera on the N-330a, near Candanchú. It shows the road, not the slopes: if the tarmac is white, snow chains may be compulsory.
The first snowfall of the season came on 8 October 2026: 5–10 cm on the upper slopes and Los Ibones turned white, with -1 ºC at 6:00 according to AEMET. The resort is still closed and has not announced its opening date.
The camera shows real visibility and snow on the ground, not the forecast. Snow depth by altitude — 1700 to 2300 m — and the days ahead are in the Astún snow report.
Which lifts and runs Astún opens is published by the resort every morning and changes with the wind: the upper ones, up to 2300 m, are the most exposed. If the camera is a white blur mid-morning, that is usually why.
