Chamonix is a resort in Haute-Savoie (France) skied between 1035 and 3842 metres, with 110 km of pistes and 43 lifts.
The camera shows real visibility and snow on the ground, not the forecast. Snow depth by altitude — 1035 to 3842 m — and the days ahead are in the Chamonix snow report.
Which lifts and runs Chamonix opens is published by the resort every morning and changes with the wind: the upper ones, up to 3842 m, are the most exposed. If the camera is a white blur mid-morning, that is usually why.
