Right now in Chapelco: 3 °C at mid-mountain and about 57 cm of snow on the ground according to the model. Snow forecast at the summit this week: 0.7 cm. 7-day forecast for Chapelco.
Chapelco is a resort in Neuquén - San Martín de los Andes (Argentina) skied between 1250 and 1980 metres, with 29 km of pistes and 11 lifts.
Chapelco publishes its own cameras on its official website.
The camera shows real visibility and snow on the ground, not the forecast. Snow depth by altitude — 1250 to 1980 m — and the days ahead are in the Chapelco snow report.
Which lifts and runs Chapelco opens is published by the resort every morning and changes with the wind: the upper ones, up to 1980 m, are the most exposed. If the camera is a white blur mid-morning, that is usually why.
