Right now in Chatel: 4 °C at mid-mountain. Snow forecast at the summit this week: 9.1 cm. 7-day forecast for Chatel.
Chatel is a resort in Haute-Savoie (Portes du Soleil) (France) skied between 1200 and 2466 metres, with 650 km of pistes and 195 lifts.
The camera shows real visibility and snow on the ground, not the forecast. Snow depth by altitude — 1200 to 2466 m — and the days ahead are in the Chatel snow report.
Which lifts and runs Chatel opens is published by the resort every morning and changes with the wind: the upper ones, up to 2466 m, are the most exposed. If the camera is a white blur mid-morning, that is usually why.
