Right now in Kandersteg: 5 °C at mid-mountain. Snow forecast at the summit this week: 18.8 cm. 7-day forecast for Kandersteg.
Kandersteg is a resort in Berner Oberland (Switzerland) skied between 1174 and 2350 metres, with 13 km of pistes and 7 lifts.
The camera shows real visibility and snow on the ground, not the forecast. Snow depth by altitude — 1174 to 2350 m — and the days ahead are in the Kandersteg snow report.
Which lifts and runs Kandersteg opens is published by the resort every morning and changes with the wind: the upper ones, up to 2350 m, are the most exposed. If the camera is a white blur mid-morning, that is usually why.
