Orcieres-Merlette is a resort in Hautes-Alpes (France) skied between 1850 and 2650 metres.
The camera shows real visibility and snow on the ground, not the forecast. Snow depth by altitude — 1850 to 2650 m — and the days ahead are in the Orcieres-Merlette snow report.
Which lifts and runs Orcieres-Merlette opens is published by the resort every morning and changes with the wind: the upper ones, up to 2650 m, are the most exposed. If the camera is a white blur mid-morning, that is usually why.
