Cremallera — túnel 1.964 m — Roundshot / FGC Pirineu365
Mirador de la Canal — Roundshot / FGC Pirineu365
Santuario y lago — FGC Pirineu365The three cameras belong to FGC (Pirineu365) and refresh every few minutes. The rack railway camera, at the tunnel mouth at 1,964 m, shows the train arriving in the valley: snow there means snow at resort level and on the lower runs. The Mirador de la Canal camera is a panorama of the valley, and the sanctuary and lake camera shows the heart of Núria: a white or frozen lake means the valley floor is well covered.
At night the images are dark; to see the snow, check them from 8:30, once the first morning train has arrived.
There is no mountain pass to watch and no chains to carry: the road only reaches the rack railway stations (Ribes Enllaç, Ribes Vila and Queralbs, with free parking). Your day depends on the train timetable and on the wind up high, to 2,252 m, which can stop the Coma del Clot cable car and the upper lifts.
On weekdays from 2 to 30 November the train does not go up to Núria, so the camera will show an empty valley even with snow. The last train down changes by day (17:10 on weekdays this autumn, 21:00 on Fridays): pick it when you book.
The camera shows real visibility and snow on the ground, not the forecast. Snow depth by altitude — 1964 to 2252 m — and the days ahead are in the Vall de Núria snow report.
Which lifts and runs Vall de Núria opens is published by the resort every morning and changes with the wind: the upper ones, up to 2252 m, are the most exposed. If the camera is a white blur mid-morning, that is usually why.
