Right now in Vars: -2 °C at mid-mountain and about 2 cm of snow on the ground according to the model. Snow forecast at the summit this week: 0.2 cm. 7-day forecast for Vars.
Vars is a resort in Hautes-Alpes (La Forêt Blanche) (France) skied between 1650 and 2750 metres.
The camera shows real visibility and snow on the ground, not the forecast. Snow depth by altitude — 1650 to 2750 m — and the days ahead are in the Vars snow report.
Which lifts and runs Vars opens is published by the resort every morning and changes with the wind: the upper ones, up to 2750 m, are the most exposed. If the camera is a white blur mid-morning, that is usually why.
