Right now in Valmeinier: -2 °C at mid-mountain and about 1 cm of snow on the ground according to the model. Snow forecast at the summit this week: 2.7 cm. 7-day forecast for Valmeinier.
Valmeinier is a resort in Savoie (Galibier-Thabor) (France) skied between 1500 and 2750 metres.
The camera shows real visibility and snow on the ground, not the forecast. Snow depth by altitude — 1500 to 2750 m — and the days ahead are in the Valmeinier snow report.
Which lifts and runs Valmeinier opens is published by the resort every morning and changes with the wind: the upper ones, up to 2750 m, are the most exposed. If the camera is a white blur mid-morning, that is usually why.
