Where a group sleeps in Pal Arinsal

Arinsal is a small village with hotels and apartments at the foot of the gondola and the area's nightlife; La Massana, five minutes away, has more hotels and the direct gondola to Pal. For a group that is starting out it is the easiest base in Andorra, with prices below Grandvalira.

How the group gets to Pal Arinsal

About three hours from Barcelona via La Seu d'Urgell and Andorra la Vella; La Massana is fifteen minutes from the capital. From Toulouse you enter via Pas de la Casa and cross the country, about three and a half hours.

Skiing Pal Arinsal as a group

Pal is the easy, tree-lined area with one of the best schools for adult beginners; Arinsal is steeper and has the high bowl for those who already ski. The two sectors are linked by cable car under one lift pass. It is smaller than Grandvalira, so a group doesn't get lost: everyone ends up at the same gondola.

After skiing in Pal Arinsal

Arinsal has the bars and the atmosphere, with a large British crowd, and La Massana the restaurants; Andorra la Vella is fifteen minutes away for shopping and Caldea. It is the base for groups of friends who want easy skiing and a night out without Grandvalira prices.

Questions about group trips to Pal Arinsal

How much does a group ski trip to Pal Arinsal cost?

It depends on the number of people, the dates and whether the group sleeps at the resort or in the village. We send a per-person quote for Pal Arinsal with accommodation, lift pass, lessons, equipment and coach itemised, so you decide what goes into the shared price. We don't publish one price because it would be made up.

Is there a group rate on the Pal Arinsal lift pass?

Resorts apply group rates above a certain number of people, with conditions that change every season. With the number of skiers and the dates we tell you which rate Pal Arinsal applies and arrange it; the group only confirms the final number.

How do we pay for the trip to Pal Arinsal if everyone wants to pay their own share?

With a group code: each person books their own equipment and lift pass for the same dates and pays online, and the shop sees a single group booking. The hotel and coach are secured with a group deposit and the balance under the accommodation's conditions.

What if some of the group have never skied?

We book them beginner equipment and a two-hour group lesson on the first morning in Pal Arinsal. On day two they ski a blue run with the others. Anyone who prefers not to ski gets the same hotel and coach without lift pass or equipment.

How far ahead should we book a group in Pal Arinsal?

For 20 or more people midweek, one or two months is usually enough. For a weekend between January and March, a bank holiday or more than 50 people, secure the accommodation in October or November: hotels with room for a large group in Pal Arinsal sell out before single rooms do.
